Complete review on new Moto E (2nd generation)

Build Quality

Feels great in the hand, the smaller size & curved back definitely makes for great one-handed usage. Not a big fan of the thin port covers, while it ads to the nice design, it feels too flimsy and susceptible to easily breaking off. The buttons are a bit stiff, which i personally liked as they didn't get pressed easily in the pocket or while watching videos.
Aside from that no major gripes so far, Very good build quality.

Display

The display isn't great any any means, It has a yellow-ish/brown-ish thinge throughout and the brightness is average. The Yureka has a much better display and the Android One has better colors, even if not the higher PPI. The display isn't unsuable but is a step down from most offerings from the competition.

UI & Usability

Phone is amazingly smooth and Loliipop is a treat to use. Moto E's biggest advantage has to be the lack of bloat and the clean skin they've adopted. So far everything has been running great and I don't have any complaints. If anything... Very happy with Moto's decision to stick with plain android. The added features like active notifications is very nice indeed.

Battery Life :-

Still too early to tell but so far i've been pretty impressed, The phone is doing a good job and should last a day of normal use easily. Will update this portion as time goes on.

Camera

Very disappointed in the Camera performance. While it definitely gets the job done, Comparing the Moto E to the Yureka & the Canvas A1, I found it to be the poorest performer of the 3 in most scenarios. You can check the Channel for more details & uncompressed hotos have been uploaded as well.

The poor front Cam & lack of flash adds to the already very poor performance.

Speaker

The speaker has to be one of the best i've heard in a budget phone, the Front facing speaker makes watching videos very enjoyable. Definitely preferred the experience offered by the Moto E over the Yureka & the Canvas A1

Call Quality :-

Will go deeper into this once i've had more time with it... The signal reception seems to better than that of the Yureka and a tad better than the Canvas A1 as well. But its still too early to tell.

Best smartphones under 10,000 in India

1.Moto E Motorola took the sub 10k market in India by storm by launching the Moto E at a crazy price of under Rs 7,000. Apart from being a handset from a reputed OEM, with extensive after sales support, you don’t feel short-changed when it comes to the features and performance. If you’re going to diss the Moto E because of its sub-par camera and the fact that it doesn’t have a front-facing one, then you’re missing the point. We’ve had great fun reviewing the Moto E , which is saying a lot considering it’s a no-frills smartphone. If we have to nit-pick, then we would say that the buttons couldn’t have used slightly better tactile feedback and perhaps a 3MP auto-focus camera would have been better than the 5MP fixed-focus. If you are a first time smartphone user or wish to introduce someone to the world of Android, then the Moto E makes a great choice under Rs 10,000. 2.Xiomi redmi 1S The Redmi 1S is Xiaomi’s second blockbuster smartphone, followin...
